\n\tThe Accounting History International Emerging Scholars’ Colloquium<\/span><\/div>\n
\n\tParis, France, 3 September 2019<\/span><\/div>\n
\n\t <\/div>\n
\n\tThis international forum is designed for emerging scholars of all ages and career stages, including doctoral degree students, new faculty and other emerging accounting researchers who have an interest in accounting history, and who seek to obtain feedback from senior faculty members on their historical accounting research projects in an intellectually stimulating environment.<\/span><\/div>\n
\n\t <\/div>\n
\n\tThe Accounting History International Emerging Scholars’ Colloquium (AHIESC) will be held as part of the tenth Accounting History International Conference (10AHIC) being held in Paris, France during 3-5 September 2019. The AHIESC will be conducted during the first day of the 10AHIC, prior to registration and the opening sessions and welcome reception, enabling the participating emerging scholars to present their research proposals.<\/span><\/div>\n
\n\tA panel of experienced accounting history scholars will comment on the formal presentations made by each participant and offer constructive advice and encouragement to all presenters.<\/span><\/div>\n
\n\t <\/div>\n
\n\tThe following senior faculty members have been confirmed for the AHIESC panel:<\/span><\/div>\n

\n\tIndividuals who wish to express an interest in attending the AHIESC are requested to forward their research proposals, brief biographical details and a CV to Garry Carnegie no later than 31 May 2019 at the following address: paris.ahic@rmit.edu.au<\/span><\/div>\n
\n\tThe research proposals, of no more than six pages (double spaced) should contain the following information:<\/span><\/div>\n
\n\t <\/div>\n
\n\t1. Project (working) title;<\/span><\/div>\n
\n\t2. Background to the study (or scenario for investigation);<\/span><\/div>\n
\n\t3. Main research objective to be stated in a single, concise sentence;<\/span><\/div>\n
\n\t4. Concise statement of key research question(s);<\/span><\/div>\n
\n\t5. Research methodology;<\/span><\/div>\n
\n\t6. Period selection;<\/span><\/div>\n
\n\t7. Limitations of the study;<\/span><\/div>\n
\n\t8. Expected (original) contribution of the study to the literature;<\/span><\/div>\n
\n\t9. List of no more than 12 key references relating to the proposed study;<\/span><\/div>\n
\n\t <\/div>\n
\n\tFormal invitations to attend the Colloquium will be issued on receipt and review of research proposals.<\/span><\/div>\n
\n\t <\/div>\n
\n\tThere is no separate registration fee for participating at the Emerging Scholars’ Colloquium. Participants at the Colloquium are expected to participate in the Conference and pay the Conference registration fee.<\/span><\/div>\n
