{"id":1950,"date":"2019-06-06T17:19:51","date_gmt":"2019-06-06T15:19:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/eaa-online.org\/arc\/events\/12th-spanish-conference-social-and-environmental-accounting-research"},"modified":"2019-06-06T17:19:51","modified_gmt":"2019-06-06T15:19:51","slug":"12th-spanish-conference-social-and-environmental-accounting-research","status":"publish","type":"event","link":"https:\/\/eaa-online.org\/arc\/events\/12th-spanish-conference-social-and-environmental-accounting-research","title":{"rendered":"12th Spanish Conference on Social and Environmental Accounting Research"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>For more than 20 years, Spanish academics, their Universities, the&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.upo.es\/cicsma\/\">Centro de Investigaci&oacute;n en Contabilidad Social y Medioambiental (CICSMA)<\/a>&nbsp;and the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.st-andrews.ac.uk\/csear\/\">Centre for Social and Environmental Accounting Research (CSEAR)<\/a>&nbsp;have promoted the bi-annual Spanish Conference on Social and Environmental Accounting Research. The first conference, which was held at Sevilla University in 1997, focused on the environmental issues and was organized by two of the pioneers of the social and environmental accounting discipline in Spain: Professor Carlos Larrinaga Gonz&aacute;lez and Professor Francisco Carrasco Fenech.<\/p>\n<p>Two decades later, thanks to the efforts of many national and international academics the conference is now one of the main events in this area of accounting research.<\/p>\n<p>The Conference aims to provide a space for academic discussion of social and environmental accounting issues by giving participants the opportunity to share emerging and advanced research papers and projects.&nbsp;<strong>The conference enhances the development of critical and empathic accounting academic work concerned with important social and environmental problems<\/strong>.
