\n\tThe African Accounting and Finance Association (AAFA), established in 2011, is Africa’s continent-wide accounting and finance academic association. One of the distinguishing features<\/div>\n
\n\tof AAFA is to embrace all African regions including Anglophone and Francophone countries. The quality and reputation of AAFA’s activities are reflected in its wide membership across Africa and the close involvement of leading African Diaspora academics from universities across the globe.<\/div>\n
\n\tThe African Accounting and Finance Conference brings together established scholars (from within the continent, the diaspora and beyond), early career researchers (including graduate students), policymakers, and practitioners to debate on contemporary issues in accounting and finance. The Conference will feature parallel sessions in English and French. The University of Cairo is very proud to host the 10th edition of the African Accounting and Finance Association (AAFA) Conference. University of Cairo is the second oldest institution of higher education in Egypt. It was founded and funded as the Egyptian University by a committee of citizens with royal patronage in 1908 and became a state institution in 1925. Following the Egyptian Revolution of 1952, it was renamed as Cairo University. The University currently enrolls approximately 250,000 students in 26 faculties. It counts three Nobel Laureates among its graduates and is one of the 50th largest institutions of higher education in the world by enrolment and is ranked among the 301-400 universities (Shanghai Ranking, 2019).<\/div>\n

\n\t\tSubmission of Manuscripts<\/em><\/div>\n
\n\t\tSubmissions in English should be sent electronically to conference@aafassociation.com with subject line: 2020 AAFC English Track. Submissions in French should be sent electronically to conference@aafassociation.com with subject line: 2020 AAFC Français. Only full papers, including an abstract of no more than 300 words, will be considered. Authors’ names and details (affiliations and addresses, including that of co-authors), and email address of the corresponding author should appear on a separate cover page. By submitting a paper, you agree that, if the paper is accepted, you or one of your co-authors undertakes to present it during the conference.<\/div>\n
\n\t\tIn addition, one author should not be listed as presenter for more than two submissions. The deadline for submission of manuscripts is Thursday 30 April 2020. Authors are encouraged<\/div>\n
\n\t\tto register upon acceptance of their paper, and in any case the corresponding author (or the presenter) must register no later than 30 June 2020 (also deadline for early bird registration\/payment). \n\t\tEmerging Scholars Colloquium<\/div>\n
\n\t\tThe 2020 AAFA Annual Emerging Scholars Colloquium will take place on Monday, 31 August 2020 at the Faculty of Commerce, University of Cairo. The colloquium aims to bring together<\/div>\n
\n\t\tyoung researchers (doctoral and MPhil Students) to present their work-in-progress and receive feedback from established scholars in the field and to network with their peers and other delegates. Submissions to the Colloquium (in English or French) should be sent electronically to conference@aafassociation.com with the subject line: 2020 AAFA ESC. Submissions should include a full paper, including an abstract of no more than 500 words, and a cover paper with details of the author(s). The deadline for submission of manuscripts for this session is Thursday 30 April 2020. The Emerging Scholars Colloquium will feature a qualitative and quantitative research methodology workshop led by established scholars in the areas.<\/div>\n

\n\t\tAAFA 2020 is supported by a number of high-profile journals including Journal of Accounting in Emerging Economies (JAEE), Cogent Business & Management (Accounting, Corporate Governance & Business Ethics), Journal of Public Budgeting, Accounting and Financial Management, and Audit Comptabilité Contrôle: Recherches Appliquées (Association Francophone de Comptabilite). Furthermore, AAFA has its own peer-refereed journal – African Accounting and Finance Journal (AAFJ).<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
