Accounting faculty, professionals, and doctoral students are invited to submit their work to the 2021 Spark: Meeting of Regions, to be held virtually, May 24-26, 2021.<\/p>\n

The Spark Meeting combines several region meetings into a digital experience that will provide some exciting opportunities to explore accounting research, education, and practice. We've designed and built a conference platform and a presentation gallery that lets you participate in sessions in a flexible and personalized way. It preserves the key elements of traditional AAA regional meetings, including the opportunity to submit to and present with your region – while augmenting it with more opportunities to engage with your colleagues from around the world.<\/p>\n

All accepted presentations will be featured in the Presentation Gallery.  Presenters will post an abstract of their paper, and infographic overview, and either a short video (up to 10 minutes) focused on the implications of their work or the working paper itself.  (Examples of two of the most downloaded submissions from earlier meetings are a research submission<\/a> and one for an educational session<\/a>.)  One advantage of this platform is that submissions are assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI), which can be used to refer to this presentation in academic materials.  Presenters’ work will be shared with registrants for 60 days after the meeting, and then the presenter can designate whether their work will be made public for more visibility or made private.<\/p>\n
