{"id":2214,"date":"2021-01-14T10:35:08","date_gmt":"2021-01-14T09:35:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/eaa-online.org\/arc\/events\/2021-afaanz-virtual-conference"},"modified":"2021-01-14T10:35:08","modified_gmt":"2021-01-14T09:35:08","slug":"2021-afaanz-virtual-conference","status":"publish","type":"event","link":"https:\/\/eaa-online.org\/arc\/events\/2021-afaanz-virtual-conference","title":{"rendered":"2021 AFAANZ Virtual Conference"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"margin-left:14.2pt;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:14.2pt;\">The 2021 AFAANZ Conference organised by the Accounting &amp; Finance Association of Australia and New Zealand (AFAANZ) will be held online in the week starting on 5 July 2021.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:14.2pt;\">AFAANZ is devoted to a very broad spectrum of accounting and finance research and we welcome innovative research approaches as well as those that are well established. Papers are invited in the broad areas of accounting, finance, auditing, corporate governance, accounting information systems, accounting education, ethics, corporate social responsibility, tax and related fields. All papers will be subject to blind peer review. AFAANZ encourages new and developing researchers to attend the conference. This year we will again extend a discount to first time AFAANZ conference attendees and full time higher degree research students.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:14.2pt;\">The two plenary speakers at the conference will be:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n\t\tGarry Monroe, Professor of Accounting, University of New South Wales<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tPhillip Stocken, Jack Byrne Professor of Accounting, Dartmouth College<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><em>Guidelines for Submission<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:14.2pt;\">Further details regarding the submission of papers will be made available on the AFAANZ conference website at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.afaanz.org\/annual-conference-0\">https:\/\/www.afaanz.org\/annual-conference-0<\/a>. Papers can be submitted at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.openconf.org\/afaanz2021\/openconf.php\">https:\/\/www.openconf.org\/afaanz2021\/openconf.php<\/a> &nbsp;from the start of December 2020.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:14.2pt;\">Papers will only be considered if at least one author is an individual member of AFAANZ. AFAANZ members also enjoy a reduced registration fee for the conference. Alternatively, an AUD$50 submission fee can be paid (please email <a href=\"mailto:info@afaanz.org\">info@afaanz.org<\/a> for details).<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:14.2pt;\"><strong><em>Submission Date<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:14.2pt;\">Papers must be submitted by Monday, 8 February 2021, 5pm Australian Eastern Daylight Standard Time.
