The goal of this conference is to expand the diversity and scope of international accounting research, through increased understanding and awareness of the challenges and opportunities of international accounting. Original and rigorous research will provide academics, practitioners, and regulators with deeper insights into international accounting issues. Journal of International Accounting Research (JIAR) continues to welcome innovative and high quality research that examines how accounting data affects capital market participants. Papers that address interesting and innovative research questions in all areas are welcomed.
\nPapers can be submitted for consideration in one of three tracks: Plenary Sessions, Concurrent Sessions, or Forum sessions. There will be a best paper award for the papers presented in the plenary sessions.<\/p>\n

For Plenary Session Submission:<\/strong>
\nPlease follow the regular submission procedure for JIAR outlined at: https:\/\/jiar.allentrack.net\/cgi-bin\/main.plex.<\/a>
\nAccepted Plenary Session papers will be published in the Journal of International Accounting Research (conditional on satisfactory responses to reviewers\u2019 and discussant\u2019s comments). The conference will waive the registration fee and cover airfare and three nights\u2019 hotel for one presenter (up to 1,200 GBP).<\/p>\n

For Concurrent and Forum Session Submission:<\/strong>
\nPapers submitted to the Concurrent Sessions will be considered for presentation at the conference, but not for publication in the Journal of International Accounting Research. Submissions should be made via email to JIAR.2023@uea.ac.uk<\/a>
\nPlease send a separate title page, listing all authors, and a blind version of the submission.<\/p>\n

\nPaper submission: February 15, 2023
\nDecisions: March 31, 2023
\nEarly registration: May 1, 2023<\/p>\n

Doctoral\/New faculty Consortium \u2013 June 21, 2023:<\/strong>
\nDoctoral students and early career faculty (within 3 years of graduation) can apply to attend the doctoral consortium by sending Prof. Linda Myers (lmyers16@utk.edu) a curriculum vitae, short bio, and brief statement indicating why they would like to attend the consortium. The application deadline for application is February 15, 2023. All doctoral students selected to attend the consortium will receive financial support (in the form of two nights\u2019 accommodation) and may receive some travel funding.<\/p>\n

Travelling to Norwich:<\/strong>
\nNorwich is easily accessible. Participants can fly into the Norwich airport via Amsterdam\u2019s Schiphol airport, or fly into one of the London airports (London Stansted is the closest one) and then take a direct train from to Norwich (train trip takes less than two hours).
