\nSingapore Management University Accounting Symposium11 \u2013 12 December 2023, SMU Campus, Singapore<\/p>\n

The School of Accountancy at Singapore Management University (SMU) is pleased to announce the SOAR Accounting Symposium to be held on 11 and 12 December 2023 on SMU Campus.<\/p>\n

SOAR Accounting Symposium is the School of Accountancy Research (SOAR) Centre\u2019s annual flagship event and is part of the Centre’s efforts to contribute knowledge, thought-leadership and innovative ideas. It provides a platform for researchers from School of Accountancy and top schools around the world to share ideas and stimulate debate through paper presentations and discussions. The Symposium has attracted many high-quality research paper submissions, featured some of the best accounting scholars as keynote speakers, and attracted well-known researchers around the world to engage in intellectual interactions.<\/p>\n

Paper Submission Procedure<\/strong>
\nThe deadline for submissions is 15 September 2023 (SGT). Please submit your unpublished manuscripts to https:\/\/forms.gle\/b4iCzVD6KZQrwBwB7<\/a> . Papers in all areas relevant to accounting are welcome for submission. Authors of accepted papers will be notified by the first week of October 2023. A travel (including lodging) subsidy of USD1,000 will be provided to each overseas presenter. Registration fee is waived for presenters.<\/p>\n

Symposium Format<\/strong>: Each paper presentation is followed by a discussant\u2019s critique and a Q&A session.<\/p>\n

Registration for Participants<\/strong>
\nRegistration for the Symposium begins on 15 September 2023 (SGT). The Symposium has limited seats in order to promote close interaction. The registration fee is SGD400 (plus prevailing taxes), which covers tea breaks, two lunches, and one gala dinner. Participants are responsible for their own travel and accommodation arrangements. Please check the Symposium website for special hotel room rates in September.<\/p>\n
