The symposium will be held at the new Gaia Building (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ntu.edu.sg\/news\/detail\/gaia-the-largest-wooden-building-in-asia-launched\">https:\/\/www.ntu.edu.sg\/news\/detail\/gaia-the-largest-wooden-building-in-asia-launched<\/a>), a zero-energy building and the largest wooden building in Asia on the Nanyang Technological University campus.The theme of the conference will broadly be on the interplay between accounting and ESG (Environment, Social and Governance), with an emphasis on sustainability. While there is a preference for papers on ESG, manuscripts in all areas of research in accounting using all methods are welcome. Selection of papers will depend on novelty, quality, and incremental contribution to the accounting literature. Submitted papers must not have been published or submitted elsewhere.<\/p>\n<p>Papers accepted for presentation at the symposium will be published in regular issues of The International Journal of Accounting, subject to satisfactory revisions and receiving a positive review by one reviewer. The symposium will contribute to the cost of travel of one author per paper.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Deadline for submission:<\/strong> December 29, 2023<\/p>\n<p><strong>Decision date:<\/strong> March 1, 2024<\/p>\n<p>Submit articles to The International Journal of Accounting here:<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.worldscientific.com\/page\/tija\/submission-guidelines\">https:\/\/www.worldscientific.com\/page\/tija\/submission-guidelines<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Please enter \u201c2024 Symposium Submission\u201d in the comments section of the new submission form.<\/p>\n<p><strong>PhD Consortium<\/strong><br \/>\nWe will also be holding a doctoral consortium on the first day of the symposium to assist up to 25 PhD students with the development of their dissertations.
