The School of Accounting and Finance at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) is pleased to announce the 2024 PolyU Accounting Research Conference to be held on 6 December 2024 (Friday).<\/p>\n
As a flagship event of the School of Accounting and Finance, the conference aims to provide a platform for rising scholars around the world to present their unpublished research papers. Consistent with this objective, all authors of submitted papers must have received their Ph.D. degrees within the last 5 years.<\/p>\n
Each paper presentation will be followed by a discussion led by a world-renowned scholar. This year, we are honoured to have invited the following professors as our discussants (in alphabetical order):<\/p>\n

\nThe deadline for submissions is 31 August 2024 (HKT). Please submit your unpublished manuscripts to acct.conf@polyu.edu.hk. We welcome submissions of papers in all areas relevant to accounting. Authors of accepted papers will be notified by 30 September 2024. A travel subsidy, covering round-trip economy airfare (up to USD800 for Asia\/ USD1500 for non-Asia) and three night\u2019s hotel accommodation (single occupancy), will be provided to one overseas presenter of each accepted paper. The registration fee is waived for presenters.<\/p>\n
\nRegistration for the conference begins on 1 November 2024. Due to limited capacity, registration will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. The registration fee is HKD2400 (equivalent roughly to USD300), which covers tea breaks, lunch, and dinner. Participants are responsible for making their own travel and accommodation arrangements.<\/p>\n
