BACKGROUND
\nWe are pleased to announce the 19 th EUFIN \u2013 The Conference of Accounting in Europe, which will take place at the University of Bologna (Italy) on August 29th & 30th, 2024. Continuing the
\nConference\u2019s tradition, the 2024 conference will offer parallel sessions with sufficient time to present and discuss academic research papers. In addition, panel sessions will provide the opportunity for academics, standard setters, regulators, practitioners, and other stakeholders to come together to discuss current matters of interest to the European accounting community. This year\u2019s panel sessions will delve into the pressing topics of: (1) measurement, reporting, auditing and promotion of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI); and (2) current trends in taxation, encompassing tax transparency, tax avoidance, profit shifting, and the global minimum tax.<\/p>\n
TARGET AUDIENCE
\nThe workshop offers a platform for researchers to present their work and to participate in accounting policy debates. Early career academics are especially invited to participate and profit from the fruitful\u00a0atmosphere of the conference. Topics of interest may include but are not restricted to, financial and sustainability reporting, governance, accountability, and tax concerning the EU or particular Member States, economic and regulatory issues of corporate reporting and standard setting, auditing and enforcement.<\/p>\n
CALL FOR PAPERS
\nPapers on any aspect of corporate reporting in Europe are invited. Practice and policy-oriented research papers are particularly welcome. Papers written in English should be submitted
\nelectronically no later than 24 th May 2024 via the conference website https:\/\/eufin-conf.org\/. Papers will be subject to a blind review process. Authors will be notified of acceptance by 30th June 2024.<\/p>\n
ACCOUNTING IN EUROPE \u2013 FAST TRACK & PAPER DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOP
\nIn collaboration with Accounting in Europe we invite papers that investigate policy-relevant topics in line with Accounting in Europe\u2019s aim and scope to follow\u202fa fast-track process for publication in the Journal. In addition, we invite PhD candidates and early career scholars to submit their work for a dedicated Accounting in Europe paper development workshop, during which thorough feedback\u00a0and guidance will be provided. Subject to the result of the revision process, the papers from the fast track and the paper development workshop may be published in the Journal.<\/p>\n
