The CGIR Doctoral Consortium and Paper Development Workshop (PDW) will be held on Friday
\nNovember 8th, 2024 as part of the preconference program of the 10th ICGS annual conference, that will
\nbe held at Arizona State University, November 9th-10th, 2024. The event, sponsored by Wiley, is
\norganized in close collaboration between ICGS and CGIR, and involves current and former CGIR Editors.
\nParticipating Editors include Michael Abebe (Texas), Ruth Aguilera (Northeastern), Lili Dai (UNSW),
\nOmrane Guedhami (South Carolina), Niels Hermes (Groningen), Tanusree Jain (Copenhagen), Aneel
\nKeswani (City), Elko Klijn (Old Dominion), Krista Lewellyn (Florida), Maria Marchica (Manchester)
\nAndrea Melis (Cagliari), David Oesch (Zurich), Amedeo Pugliese (Padua), Bo Qin (Melbourne), Trond

Objective<\/strong><\/p>\n ICGS and CGIR\u2019s mission is to improve the quality and relevance of international corporate governance Program<\/strong><\/p>\n The consortium and PDW are divided into two parts. For the first part, CGIR Editors will meet
\n(CG) research. The purpose of the consortium and PDW is to provide junior scholars with developmental
\nfeedback on their research papers in the field of CG. We are soliciting doctoral students and junior faculty members \u2013 from any discipline (e.g., accounting, finance, organization, strategy) and any country \u2013 to submit an original paper on CG.<\/p>\n
\nindividually with two authors at a mutually agreed time virtually or in person and provide feedback on
\nhow to improve their papers, so to increase the probability of acceptance by CGIR or other CG journals.
\nFor the second part, the CGIR Editors-in-Chief and Senior Editors will present the journal\u2019s mission and
\nscope, the key statistics on submissions and acceptance rate, and the editorial review process. The second part will be held in person at Arizona State University. This will be followed by a question-and-answer session with the editorial team. At the end of the PDW, there will be the possibility to have informal conversations with the Editors-in-Chief, Editors and Editorial Board Members of CGIR so to learn the nuances of successful publication strategies.<\/p>\n
