We are pleased to announce that the\u202f2025 Midyear Meeting\u202fof the Financial Accounting and Reporting Section (FARS) will be held at the Loews Atlanta Hotel in Atlanta, Georgia, January 23-25, 2025.\u202fWe welcome submissions of high-quality academic papers that will allow us to compile a top-notch research program. Please choose the research track that best represents the topic of the paper, regardless of the method used (i.e., archival, analytical, experimental).<\/span><\/p>\n

Please be aware that you will be asked whether you are interested in being considered for inclusion to a research roundtable (approximately 30 minutes to discuss your paper with a small group of scholars while sitting around a table; no discussant). It is our expectation that anyone who submits a paper will volunteer to support the review process and research program. Therefore, please also be aware that you and your co-authors will automatically be volunteered as potential reviewers, moderators, and discussants.<\/span><\/p>\n

The deadline for submission is\u202f<\/span>Monday, September 16, 2024<\/span><\/b>.\u202fThis is a hard deadline. There will be no extension.\u202f<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u202fSubmission of papers is a two-step process:<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. A non-refundable submission fee of $50 is required \u2014\u202f<\/span>click here<\/span><\/b><\/a>\u202fto pay the submission fee.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. To submit your paper (or to volunteer as a reviewer\/discussant\/moderator), please\u202f<\/span>CLICK HERE<\/span><\/a>\u202fto access the system using your AAA member ID and password. If you have forgotten your AAA member ID\/password,\u202f<\/span>click here<\/span><\/a>\u202fto retrieve them. If you do not have a AAA member ID\/password, please\u202f<\/span>click here<\/span><\/a>\u202fto obtain AAA login credentials.   3. You must remove all references within the proposal you wish to upload that will identify the author(s) to assure a blind review process.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    A blind review process will be used to select research papers to be presented at the concurrent research sessions during the conference.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
