The\u00a0<strong><u>deadline<\/u>\u00a0<\/strong>for online submissions<strong>\u00a0is\u00a0<u>2 December 2024<\/u><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Papers will be reviewed by subject specialists drawn from our special interest groups and associates. We are seeking to increase the variety of events that we offer at this year\u2019s conference. We will, therefore, carefully balance that with the number of presentation slots that are available.<\/p>\n<p>We aim to provide a showcase for innovative research and teaching in accounting and finance. Streams for 2025 include, but not limited to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Accounting and Finance in Emerging Economies<\/li>\n<li>Accounting Education<\/li>\n<li>Accounting History<\/li>\n<li>Accounting Information Systems and Emerging Technologies, including New Technologies in Accounting, Auditing and Forensics<\/li>\n<li>Asset Pricing, Financial Data Science and Econometrics<\/li>\n<li>Auditing<\/li>\n<li>Behavioural Finance<\/li>\n<li>Corporate Finance<\/li>\n<li>Corporate Governance<\/li>\n<li>Diversity, covering Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) in Accounting and Finance Pedagogy, Research and Teaching<\/li>\n<li>Financial Markets and Institutions<\/li>\n<li>Financial Reporting and Accounting<\/li>\n<li>Interdisciplinary Perspectives on Accounting<\/li>\n<li>Management Accounting<\/li>\n<li>Public Services and Charities<\/li>\n<li>Taxation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Our Early Career Researcher sessions will allow\u00a0<strong>final-year PhD students<\/strong>\u00a0and those who have completed their PhD within the last five years an opportunity to present their work and get feedback from invited faculty and others in smaller sessions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How to submit your paper:<\/strong>\u00a0Register an account on the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/submissions.bafa.ac.uk\/\">Paper Submissions Platform<\/a>\u00a0(https:\/\/submissions.bafa.ac.uk) to submit<strong>\u00a0one paper<\/strong>\u00a0to the\u00a0<strong>Annual Conference 2025<\/strong>. Please note that although you will be able to edit certain details online, you will not be able to upload a revised version of the file while it is pending review.<\/p>\n<p><strong>NOTE: <\/strong>Late submissions will be considered for a waiting list, to be notified after 17 February 2025.<\/p>\n<h3>CALL FOR PAPERS FOR THE DOCTORAL MASTERCLASSES<\/h3>\n<p>Our doctoral masterclasses will offer support and opportunities for feedback and participation, including:<\/p>\n<p>1. a designated academic to provide support and feedback throughout the conference;<br \/>\n2. networking and job seeking events;<\/p>\n<p>There will be an opportunity to join colleagues for a (self-funded) dinner after the Doctoral Masterclass.<\/p>\n<p><strong>IMPORTANT:<\/strong>\u00a0There will be events for PhD students throughout the three-day conference. Note, however, that PhD students are able to present in either the main conference OR the doctoral masterclasses, not both. Please read the instructions below carefully. You will need to register\/pay for the conference by the deadline to secure your place<\/p>\n<p><strong>Choose only ONE of the following options<\/strong><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h4>OPTION 1<\/h4>\n<p>Submissions open:\u00a02 September 2024<br \/>\n<strong>Closes:\u00a02 December 2024<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><u>Final-yearPhD students and those who have<\/u>\u00a0<u>completed their PhD within the last five years<\/u>\u00a0have the opportunity to submit one\u00a0full paper\u00a0to the\u00a0<strong>Early Career Parallel Sessions<\/strong>\u00a0held throughout Wednesday\u00a0and Thursday. They will get feedback from designated persons in the conference who will attend their presentation and offer feedback following the session, as well as receiving feedback in the session from the audience.<\/p>\n<p>Papers that are not accepted for presentation in one of the sessions on 16\u201317 April 2025 will automatically be given a place in the doctoral masterclasses on 15\u00a0April 2025.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How to submit your ECR paper:\u00a0<\/strong>Use the new\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/submissions.bafa.ac.uk\/\">Paper Submissions Platform<\/a>\u00a0(https:\/\/submissions.bafa.ac.uk) to submit one paper to the Annual Conference 2025\u2014<strong>tick the ECR checkbox<\/strong>\u00a0in the submission form. Please note that although you will be able to edit certain details online, you will not be able to upload a revised version of the file while it is pending review.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>OPTION 2<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Submission open: 2 September 2024<br \/>\n<strong>Closes: 2 December 2024<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>All doctoral students are invited to submit an abstract for the doctoral masterclasses on Tuesday, 15 April 2025,\u00a0<u>unless<\/u>\u00a0they have submitted a paper to the main conference (option 1 above). Students will be invited to present their own work, and will get feedback from faculty and other students. Students are expected to attend all sessions on Tuesday 15\u00a0April and will only be awarded a certificate of attendance on this basis.\u00a0<u>Students are also expected to attend the whole conference<\/u>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>There are 80 places available on a first-come, first served basis<\/strong>.
