JAAF CONFERENCE 2025<\/strong>
\nJournal of Accounting, Auditing, and Finance<\/strong>
\nNovember 9 – 12, 2025 Zayed University, Dubai, UAE<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Journal of Accounting, Auditing, and Finance (JAAF) is excited to announce its inaugural 2025 Conference in the Middle East, which will be hosted by the Accounting Department of the College of Business, Zayed University, Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE), on November 9-12, 2025.<\/p>\n

Zayed University is a public institution, founded in 1998 in the UAE and proudly bears the name of the founder and first president of the country, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. The University has campuses in Dubai and Abu Dhabi and welcomes both national and international students.<\/p>\n

PLENARY SESSIONS<\/strong>
\nPapers accepted for the Plenary Sessions will be considered for publication in the JAAF and will undergo a review process in accordance with JAAF policies. While it is anticipated that accepted Plenary Session papers will be published in JAAF, final acceptance will be determined based on JAAF\u2019s editorial policies.
\nFor the 2025 JAAF Conference, Professors C. S. Agnes Cheng and Linda Myers will serve as Editors for Plenary Session submissions. Final decisions regarding journal acceptance will be made in consultation with the JAAF Editor-in-Chief.
\nPapers that are not accepted for the Plenary Sessions will be considered for the Concurrent Sessions at the author\u2019s discretion.
\nConference expenses for Plenary Session presenters will be covered up to $1,500 USD for one author per accepted paper.
\nThere will be a best paper award<\/strong> and a best discussant award<\/strong> for papers presented in the Plenary Sessions.<\/p>\n

CONCURRENT SESSIONS<\/strong>
\nPapers submitted to the Concurrent Sessions only, as well as unaccepted Plenary Session submissions, will be reviewed by the scientific committee co-chaired by Dr. Mariem Khalifa and Dr. Cheng Colin Zeng.
\nNote: Papers submitted to the Plenary Sessions but rejected, and papers submitted to the Concurrent Sessions only, can be submitted to JAAF as regular new submissions at a later date.
\nThere will be best paper awards<\/strong> for Concurrent Session papers, including a track for PhD student papers and a track for other papers. If you are interested in competing for the PhD student paper award, please indicate which of the authors are PhD students when you submit the paper.<\/p>\n

SUBMISSION PROCEDURES AND RULES<\/strong>
\nPapers submitted to the Plenary Sessions should be submitted through JAAF\u2019s website at: https:\/\/mc.manuscriptcentral.com\/jaaf<\/a> and the regular submission fee ($200 USD) applies. In the submission letter, authors should indicate that the submission is for the 2025 JAAF Conference Plenary Sessions. Submission to the Plenary Sessions must also be emailed to the JAAF Conference Associate Editor, Dr. Mike Weng, at jaaf.conference@gmail.com<\/a>, and authors must indicate whether the paper should be considered for the Concurrent Sessions if not accepted into the Plenary Sessions.<\/p>\n

Papers submitted to the Concurrent Sessions only should be emailed to: jaaf2025.Dubai@zu.ac.ae<\/a> (ref. Dr. Mariem Khalifa) together with a proof of the submission fee payment of $50 USD to JAAF. Presenters of accepted papers must register as conference participants.<\/p>\n

The deadline for paper submission is May 31, 2025<\/strong>. Authors will first be notified by June 30, 2025<\/strong> if their papers are accepted for presentation in concurrent sessions. Following this, a subsequent notification of the acceptance for the plenary session will be sent to authors who have submitted to JAAF for the plenary sessions by August 15, 2025<\/strong>.
\nAuthors should submit only full papers (i.e., complete scholarly research projects that could reasonably be submitted to a public working paper database such as SSRN). Proposals will not be accepted.
\nA separate file should be submitted including the title, author names, affiliations, keywords, and any acknowledgments. The main text should include an abstract and no author information.
\nThe submissions must be in English.
\nThere is no specific manuscript format and no page limit, but papers should generally not exceed 50 pages. Presenters of accepted papers must register as conference participants.<\/p>\n

PROGRAM AND SOCIAL EVENTS<\/strong>
\nThe JAAF conference provides a platform for academics and practitioners worldwide to discuss research in accounting, auditing, and finance. The 2025 JAAF Conference will offer numerous opportunities for networking, social events, and experiencing the vibrant city of Dubai.
\nPlenary and concurrent sessions will start on Monday, November 10. A gala dinner will be held in a picturesque location in Dubai on November 11.
\nThere will be networking opportunities and cultural events arranged during the conference days (November 9 & 12) for those attendees who wish to participate. Information about these opportunities will be posted to the conference website as it is confirmed.<\/p>\n
