Call for Papers<\/strong><\/p>\n

We are happy to announce that the 2026 European Accounting Review Annual Conference will be held at the Du\u0308sseldorf Campus of the WHU Otto Beisheim School of Management. EAR Annual Conference is a scholarly forum for the presentation and discussion of high-quality research papers. The conference program will include a limited number of papers, each of which will be assigned a discussant.<\/p>\n

We invite submissions of original papers addressing research questions in all areas of accounting research. European Accounting Review emphasizes openness and flexibility, not only regarding the substantive issues of accounting research, but also with respect to paradigms, methodologies, and styles of conducting that research. EAR is global in scope and welcomes submissions relating to any country or region that clearly communicate relevance to an international audience.<\/p>\n

In addition, EAR features a (i) \u2018Young Scholar Track,\u2019 for submissions by non-tenured faculty and Ph.D. students, with job market papers being particularly well received; an (ii) \u2018Open Science\u2019 track, for shorter papers that discuss important problems in research methods and design across all methods (field, experimental, archival) and paradigms, where authors are encouraged to share
\nunique datasets or code, and, a (iii) \u2018Registered Reports\u2019 track, where authors can pre-register their experiments or field studies. Further details are available at the EAR website. Submissions for the \u2018Young Scholar,\u2019 the \u2018Open Science,\u2019 or the \u2018Registered Reports\u2019 tracks are encouraged and will receive special consideration by the editorial team.<\/p>\n

SUBMISSION DEADLINE:<\/strong> Aug 31, 2025<\/p>\n

Original contributions should be submitted at https:\/\/mc.manuscriptcentral.com\/rear<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Submissions are treated as submissions to EAR, and should not be under review at any other journal. All papers will be refereed and decisions should be conveyed to authors by the middle of December 2025. The EAR Editors will select and invite a suitable mix of papers to the EAR conference from those submissions based on the reviews. Subject to satisfactory revision, accepted conference papers are expected to be published in the conference issue of EAR in 2027. Conference attendance is by invitation. The Conference will start in the morning of 19 March 2026. Hotel accommodation will be provided for one author of each selected conference paper. Conference participants are responsible for making their own travel arrangements.<\/p>\n
