Anniversary Conference: 50 Years of Accounting, Organizations and Society<\/em><\/strong>
4\u20135 September 2026, London<\/strong><\/p>\n

The first issue of Accounting, Organizations and Society<\/em> (AOS) appeared in 1976, and next year will mark the journal\u2019s 50th anniversary. To celebrate this milestone, we are organizing a conference that will bring together the AOS community.<\/p>\n

The conference will feature research paper presentations and discussions, along with plenary sessions addressing topics of broad relevance to the journal and the accounting research community.<\/p>\n

Submissions to this AOS conference will also count as submissions to the journal. Authors wishing to submit their papers should select the \u201cConference submission\u201d option in the journal\u2019s Editorial Manager system. The submission deadline is 28 February 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Decisions on conference acceptance will be based on the initial editorial decision following the first round of reviews. Papers accepted for the conference will have a high likelihood of publication in AOS<\/em>, provided that authors satisfactorily address reviewer and editor comments.<\/p>\n

Notification of acceptance will be sent by the end of May 2026<\/strong>. Papers not selected for the conference but given a \u201crevise\u201d decision will continue in the regular journal review process.<\/p>\n

The conference program will reflect the diversity of AOS<\/em>, encompassing a wide range of accounting research topics and methods. Participation, aside from presenting authors, will be by invitation only. There is no conference fee for this anniversary event. Accepted authors will receive a registration link with their acceptance notification.<\/p>\n

The conference will be held at the London Science Gallery<\/strong> and is financially supported by Elsevier<\/strong> and King\u2019s Business School at King\u2019s College London<\/strong>. It will begin on the morning of Friday, 4 September<\/strong>, and conclude at lunchtime on Saturday, 5 September 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
