An inherent part of this commitment is to support doctoral students in financial accounting and reporting subject areas. The subject range is comprehensive, covering all major aspects of financial accounting and reporting.<\/p>\n<p>FARSIG is now inviting doctoral students in financial accounting and reporting to apply for financial support to help with their doctoral studies. The bursary award would be for a maximum of \u00a32,000 to one or more recipients.<\/p>\n<h3>Application:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>A statement as to why you are applying for the bursary.<\/li>\n<li>Two-page summary of your doctoral research, research aims, current progress and plan to\u00a0submission.\n<ul>\n<li>There is no proforma application.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Clear costings and timelines to support bursary application:\n<ul>\n<li>This would normally be data collection costs, transcription costs, research training\u00a0costs, or other direct costs in supporting you with your research data and writing up;<\/li>\n<li>Fees and conference attendance are not eligible costs;<\/li>\n<li>Data\/statistical analysis are not eligible costs;<\/li>\n<li>Expenses will only be reimbursed on production of supporting invoices only.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>You must be a current registered doctoral student, either full time or part time.<\/li>\n<li>A signed formal letter of support from your principal supervisor must be provided with the\u00a0application.<\/li>\n<li>Successful applicants should use the money within 1 year from the day of the award.<\/li>\n<li>It is a condition of any bursary award that the doctoral student will present their research at\u00a0a future Financial Reporting and Business Communication Conference (FRBC) \u2013 normally\u00a0within 2 years of the bursary award.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Each application received will be reviewed by members of the FARSIG committee.
