{"id":6623,"date":"2026-01-19T18:08:44","date_gmt":"2026-01-19T17:08:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/eaa-online.org\/arc\/events\/"},"modified":"2026-01-19T18:08:44","modified_gmt":"2026-01-19T17:08:44","slug":"2027-ray-ball-journal-of-accounting-research-conference","status":"publish","type":"event","link":"https:\/\/eaa-online.org\/arc\/events\/2027-ray-ball-journal-of-accounting-research-conference","title":{"rendered":"2027 Ray Ball Journal of Accounting Research Conference"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>Request for Papers Announcement!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>2027 Ray Ball Journal of Accounting Research Conference<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8220;Conference on Research by Emerging Accounting Scholars&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">\nThe 2027 Ray Ball Journal of Accounting Research conference will be held at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business on April 30 and May 1, 2027.&nbsp;Funding for the conference is generously provided by the Chookaszian Accounting Research Center at Chicago Booth.<\/p>\n<p>The theme of the 2027 conference is \u201cCurrent Topics in Accounting Research by Emerging Scholars.\u201d&nbsp;To encourage submissions from newer accounting scholars across a broad set of research areas, preference will be given to papers for which all authors are untenured at the time of submission and have received their Ph.D. (or equivalent terminal degree) no earlier than in 2017. &nbsp;We invite the submission of theoretical, empirical, and experimental studies that advance our understanding of any area of accounting research.<\/p>\n<p>As is traditionally the case with the Journal of Accounting Research conference, papers selected for inclusion in the conference are published in the annual conference issue in the spring of the year following the conference (the inclusion of conference papers in the conference issue is, as always, subject to satisfactory resolution of the editorial review process). Conference submissions will be considered for both inclusion in the conference and the journal at the same time.<\/p>\n<p>PAPER SUBMISSION PROCEDURE: Papers should be submitted at <a href=\"https:\/\/wiley.atyponrex.com\/journal\/JOAR\">https:\/\/wiley.atyponrex.com\/journal\/JOAR<\/a> .&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">The submission fee is $750, $500, or $50 (based on the country the submitting authors reside in).&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">The deadline for submission is&nbsp;December 1, 2026.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Request for Papers Announcement!
