Hosted by <strong>Bocconi University<\/strong> in May 2026,\u00a0the Workshop aims to provide a friendly and stimulating environment in which\u00a0PhD students can share ideas, receive constructive feedback, and engage with\u00a0peers from a wide range of institutions.\u00a0The Workshop will feature themed paper sessions, keynote lectures, and informal\u00a0opportunities for discussion and networking.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Keynote Speakers<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><strong>V\u00edctor Sancibri\u00e1n<\/strong> Assistant Professor of Economics, Bocconi University; Affiliate\u00a0at IGIER<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><strong>Amalia Repele<\/strong> Assistant Professor, IIES, Stockholm University; Visiting Scholar\u00a0at Riksbank<\/p>\n<p><strong>Call for Papers<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The Organizing Committee warmly invites submissions from <strong>PhD students and\u00a0early-career researchers<\/strong> working in all areas of economics, finance, and\u00a0accounting. We welcome both theoretical and empirical contributions, including\u00a0work at an early stage of development.\u00a0Submitted papers will be reviewed by the Organizing Committee, and selected\u00a0contributors will be invited to present their work in dedicated paper sessions.\u00a0The Workshop is designed to encourage open discussion and constructive\u00a0feedback, with the goal of helping participants improve their research and\u00a0presentation skills. Both single-authored and co-authored papers are eligible for\u00a0submission.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/bocconi.eu.qualtrics.com\/jfe\/form\/SV_0qs46wyjJaH1CMS\">Submission Link<\/a> | <a href=\"https:\/\/bocconi.eu.qualtrics.com\/jfe\/form\/SV_3rR0SzgjmJlZcvs\">Attendance Link<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">There is no participation fee. Coffee breaks and lunches will be provided for all\u00a0conference participants. Participants are responsible for their own travel and\u00a0accommodation costs. An informal social dinner will also be organized for those\u00a0who wish to attend, at their own expense.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><strong>Paper submission deadline:<\/strong> February 28, 2026<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Attendance registration deadline: April 15, 2026<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><strong>About<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">The Milan PhD Economics Workshop is jointly organized by doctoral students from Bocconi University, Universit\u00e0 Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, the University of Milan,\u00a0the University of Milan\u2013Bicocca, and the University of Pavia. It serves as a forum\u00a0for emerging scholars to exchange ideas, refine research, and engage with peers\u00a0and faculty from a broad range of international programs.
