The goal of this conference is to bring together scholars working on public interest issues in accounting across the globe. Research will encompass a \u201cbig tent\u201d perspective, with a variety of public interest topics emphasized, including, but not limited to, social and environmental accounting, professional regulation, ethics, accounting organizations, corporate governance, and other areas where accounting and society intersect.<\/p>\n<p>The conference is designed to be Thursday afternoon, followed by a full day on Friday, and will include a Thursday evening social and a Friday lunch.<\/p>\n<p>Current and prospective PhD Students, early-career faculty, and anyone interested in learning more about public interest research in accounting are highly encouraged to attend.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Keynote Speaker:<\/strong> Charles H. Cho, PhD, CPA, Professor of Sustainability Accounting and the Erivan K. Haub Chair in Business &amp; Sustainability at the Schulich School of Business, York University, and member of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI)\u2019s Global Sustainability Standards Board (GSSB).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Paper Submission Procedure:<\/strong> To be considered for inclusion in the program, please submit an electronic PDF version of the paper via e-mail with subject heading \u201cK-State Accounting Public Interest Symposium Submission\u201d to Amy Hageman at <a href=\"http:\/\/\">HagemanA@ksu.edu<\/a> no later than May 1, 2026.
