The conference allows early-career accounting scholars to present their research in a stimulating environment and receive constructive feedback on their papers from the audience and a discussant. Early career accounting scholars are recent PhD graduates (within 5 years of graduation).<\/p>\n<p>Submissions of papers from any areas of accounting research are welcome.<\/p>\n<p>The 6th ECAS (Early Career Accounting Scholars) conference will be held at Bayes Business School, City, St George\u2019s University of London. The conference is organized jointly with the University of Bristol Business School.<\/p>\n<p>Following the conference, authors of presented papers can choose to submit their revised papers incorporating the feedback from the conference to a regular issue of ABR for consideration for publication. These papers will be considered for the ABR Early Career Accounting Scholars (ECAS) track and the usual ABR submission fee will be waived. Please contact the editorial office (<a href=\"mailto:abr-editor@bristol.ac.uk\">abr-editor@bristol.ac.uk<\/a>) to obtain the submission fee waiver code and make your submission through the journal website (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tandfonline.com\/journals\/rabr20\">https:\/\/www.tandfonline.com\/journals\/rabr20<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>ECAS submissions to ABR must also include (i) a cover letter and (ii) a brief memorandum, attached to the cover letter, setting out responses to the comments received at the ABR ECAS conference. ECAS papers submitted to ABR will receive more detailed feedback and guidance than regular submissions. Editors and reviewers will clarify what is needed for publication, identify any major issues to be addressed, and explain why a paper may not be publishable in<br \/>\ncases where they see no viable path to publication. The aim of the ECAS track is to support early career accounting scholars\u2019 development, however, ECAS papers submitted to ABR must meet the same standards for acceptance as regular submissions.<\/p>\n<p>Accounting and Business Research publishes original academic papers that contribute to the development and understanding of the role of accounting in business. The journal was founded in 1970 by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW). It is included in the Social Science Citation Index (SSCI), the Chartered Association of Business School (ABS) journal guide (3 rated), and the Australian Business Dean Council\u2019s (ABDC) journal quality list (A rated).
