The target audience: academics, PhD students, regulators and practitioners in the area of auditing and governance.<\/p>\n<p>General track \u2013 Call for papers<br \/>\nThe workshop aims to promote discussion among academics by sharing recent research on the major topics related to audit quality.<\/p>\n<p>We invite papers that address (but are not limited to) the following topics:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the role of regulation in improving audit quality<\/li>\n<li>corporate governance systems and their impact on audit quality<\/li>\n<li>audit quality and ethical standards<\/li>\n<li>auditor characteristics (independence, reputation, industry specialization) and audit quality<\/li>\n<li>auditor personal and professional skills as key drivers of audit quality<\/li>\n<li>audit market structure and audit quality<\/li>\n<li>new technologies and audit quality<\/li>\n<li>audit\/accounting education and audit quality<\/li>\n<li>sustainability and audit quality<\/li>\n<li>measurement of audit quality<\/li>\n<li>audit quality and capital market efficiency<\/li>\n<li>audit behaviour (professional scepticism, incentives) and audit quality<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To be eligible for presentation, manuscripts written in English must be submitted through the Workshop website. Only full papers will be considered in the selection. A discussant will be appointed to each presentation.<\/p>\n<p><strong><mark class=\"has-inline-color has-foreground-color\">Submit your paper&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.workshopaq.org\/86-2\/\">here<\/a><\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n<hr>\n<p><strong>Deadlines<\/strong><br \/>\nSubmission deadline for Main and ERT Track: June 5th, 2026<br \/>\nNotification of acceptance: Notifications will be sent by July 15th, 2026<br \/>\nAuthors\u2019 registration: August 14th, 2026<br \/>\nFinal Paper submission: September 4th, 2026<\/p>\n<p><strong>Final paper submission<\/strong><br \/>\nFinal paper submission deadline: September 4th, 2026.<br \/>\nSubmission details and the upload form will be made available in due course.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Early Researcher Track (ERT)<\/strong><br \/>\nThe target audience of the Early Researcher Track are PhD students in their last year, post-doctoral researchers or early career researchers.
