It represents a unique opportunity to attend lectures by expert faculty, and also, to interact with colleagues and receive feedback both on developed (papers) and developing projects (early stage ideas).<\/p>\n<p>This XX edition is organized by INDEM (Universidad Carlos III de Madrid) in collaboration with the Ram\u00f3n Areces Foundation and the Universidad Aut\u00f3noma de Madrid. The Symposium is directed by Prof. Leandro Ca\u00f1ibano and coordinated by Prof. Beatriz Garc\u00eda Osma. International experts participate in the symposium, to discuss the latest developments in the main areas of contemporary accounting research, including: Capital Markets, Corporate Governance, International Accounting and Management Accounting Research.<\/p>\n<p>The invited faculty are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prof. Joachim Gassen (Humboldt-Universit\u00e4t zu Berlin).<\/li>\n<li>Prof. Anna Gold (Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam).<\/li>\n<li>Prof. Gaizka Ormazabal (IESE Business School).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In addition, we will also host presentations by students, chaired by prof. Beatriz Garc\u00eda Osma, Prof. Juan Manuel Garc\u00eda Lara (both from Universidad Carlos III de MadridUC3M, host) and Prof. Jacobo G\u00f3mez Conde. Preference for presentation will be given to proposals closely linked with the topics of the presenters as well as to early-stage faculty and PhD students.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<p><strong>Presentations by participants<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Participants are invited to present their papers or ideas, particularly, on topics linked to the areas discussed by the Faculty. All participants are thus encouraged to submit their own research for presentation at the symposium. Papers linked to the areas discussed by the speakers and by early-stage researchers will be given preference. There will be, after each presentation, sessions dedicated to participants\u2019 presentations, chaired by the professor leading the session. These sessions will be attended by diverse Faculty from the Symposium as well as from both of the host institutions, Universidad Aut\u00f3noma de Madrid and UC3M.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<p><strong>Registration and Fees<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Registration is free of charge and open until June 25, 2026. To register, please e- mail <a href=\"mailto:conference_business@uc3m.es\">conference_business@uc3m.es<\/a><\/p>\n<p>If you apply to present paper, you must fordward us the following data:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Name, surname and University as well as filled in form (see below)<\/li>\n<li>Proposal\/Paper that you are currently working on<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>There is a limited number of scholarships available to aid with travel and accommodation expenses, please mention if you are applying for a scholarship in your application and provide a letter motivating the need for financial support.
