Description<\/strong>
\nBaruch College and the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis are pleased to announce the 4th Baruch-JFQA Climate Finance and Sustainability Conference.<\/p>\n

Building on the success of the past three conferences, we look forward to bringing together leading scholars from around the world to present original research and advance the dialogue on climate finance and sustainability. We welcome submissions across the full spectrum of climate finance and sustainability, and we particularly encourage submissions on emerging topics such as AI\/data-center electricity demand and physical-risk insurance gaps, among others.<\/p>\n

– Main Program: We expect to accept 8-12 papers. Authors may also opt for dual submission to JFQA at no additional fee.
\n– Junior Faculty Mentorship Program: New this year, junior faculty members, defined as untenured assistant professors, are invited to submit their research for consideration. Selected participants will present their work in a supportive workshop with senior faculty, where they will receive feedback, mentorship, professional-development guidance, and greater visibility for their research.
\n– PhD\/Post-doc Poster Session: PhD students and postdoctoral researchers may also submit work for consideration in the poster session.<\/p>\n

\n

Dual-Submission Process with JFQA<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis offers a dual-submission option, sponsored by Managing Editors Ran Duchin and Kai Li, with the same deadline of midnight ET, November 6, 2026, and no additional fee. Authors may choose conference-only submission or dual consideration by JFQA. JFQA is committed to a fast turnaround, and papers accepted through this process will be published in a curated collection on the conference theme.<\/p>\n

– Authors must indicate whether they wish to be considered under the JFQA dual-review option.
\n– Dual submissions will be reviewed by the conference organizers and made available for consideration by JFQA.
\n– Papers submitted for dual consideration must not be under review at JFQA or another journal and must not have been previously rejected by JFQA.
\n– At JFQA’s discretion, a small number of dual submissions will be sent for formal referee reports.
\n– Papers declined at any stage of the dual-review process are not considered to have been “rejected” by JFQA and may be submitted to JFQA later without prejudice.
\n– Papers under dual consideration may not be submitted to JFQA or another journal until authors are notified of the outcome.<\/p>\n
