{"id":7250,"date":"2026-10-20T09:17:41","date_gmt":"2026-10-20T07:17:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/eaa-online.org\/arc\/events\/"},"modified":"2026-10-20T09:17:41","modified_gmt":"2026-10-20T07:17:41","slug":"bafa-annual-conference-with-doctoral-masterclasses-2","status":"publish","type":"event","link":"https:\/\/eaa-online.org\/arc\/events\/bafa-annual-conference-with-doctoral-masterclasses-2","title":{"rendered":"BAFA Annual Conference with Doctoral Masterclasses"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The British Accounting and Finance Association is pleased to announce the 2027 Annual Conference with Doctoral Masterclasses, which will be held as an in-person basis at <strong>Cardiff Business School, <\/strong>Cardiff\u00a0University, Wales, on <strong>6\u20138 April 2027<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Call for the Doctoral Masterclasses<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Our doctoral masterclasses offer support and opportunities for feedback and participation, including: a designated academic to provide support and feedback throughout the conference and networking opportunities.<\/p>\n<p><strong>NOTE<\/strong>: PhD students can present in either the main conference <u>OR<\/u>\u00a0the doctoral masterclasses, <strong>NOT BOTH<\/strong>. Please read the instructions below carefully. You will need to register\/pay for the conference by the deadline to secure your place.<\/p>\n<p>Choose either Option 1 <strong><u>OR<\/u><\/strong> Option 2:<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Option One<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Final-year PhD students and those who have <u>completed their PhD within the last five years<\/u> have the opportunity to submit <strong>full papers<\/strong>to the <strong>Early Career Researcher (ECR) Parallel Sessions<\/strong> held throughout Wednesday and Thursday. They will get feedback from designated persons in the conference who will attend their presentation and offer feedback following the session, as well as receiving feedback in the session from the audience. Papers that are not accepted for presentation in one of the sessions on 7\u20138 April 2027 will automatically be given a place in the doctoral masterclasses on Tuesday, 6 April 2027.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Option Two<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><strong>All doctoral students<\/strong> are invited to submit an<strong> abstract<\/strong> for the doctoral masterclasses on 6 April 2027, <u>unless <\/u>they have submitted a paper to the main conference (option 1 above). Students will be invited to present their own work and will receive feedback from faculty and other students. Students are expected to attend all sessions on 6 April and will only be awarded a certificate of attendance on this basis. <u>Students are also expected to attend the whole conference<\/u>.<\/p>\n<p>There are <strong>80 places<\/strong> available on a first-come, first served basis.
