{"id":2511,"date":"2019-02-27T08:18:20","date_gmt":"2019-02-27T07:18:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/eaa-online.org\/arc\/blog\/jobs\/professor-accounting\/"},"modified":"2019-02-27T08:18:20","modified_gmt":"2019-02-27T07:18:20","slug":"professor-accounting","status":"publish","type":"job","link":"https:\/\/eaa-online.org\/arc\/jobs\/professor-accounting","title":{"rendered":"Professor in Accounting"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Universit&eacute; de Sherbrooke (Qu&eacute;bec, Canada) is seeking candidates for a full-time tenure-track position in accounting at the Accounting Department in the Business School.<\/p>\n<div>\n\tPRINCIPAL CHALLENGES AND DUTIES<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>\n\t\tTeaching at the graduate and undergraduate (Master&rsquo;s) levels in the field of Accounting, particularly in auditing or financial accounting.<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tContribution to the advancement of accounting knowledge through research.<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tParticipation in research activities, supervision of Master&rsquo;s and Ph.D. students.<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tParticipation in university life and service to the community.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>\n\tQUALIFICATIONS<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>\n\t\tPhD or imminent completion of PhD in accounting or a related discipline.<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tTeaching skills and experience.<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tAbility to conduct research and direct students at all degree levels.<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tAbility to teach in French or rapid acquisition of this ability (within two years).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>\n<div>\n\t\tASSETS<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>\n\t\t\tChartered Professional Accountant designation or equivalent<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\t\tExperience in professional practice<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\t\tExperience in student preparation for and correction of professional examination business cases<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>\n\t\tAnticipated start date: August 1st or December 1st, 2019.<br \/>\n\t\t&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>\n<div>\n\t\t\tCANDIDATE APPLICATIONS<\/div>\n<div>\n\t\t\tCheck our website for the full description of all our job opportunities, then submit your application online.
