\n\tESSEC Business School invites applications for a full-time post-doctoral research fellow at its Asia-Pacific campus in Singapore. This fellowship is funded by the CY Initiative for Excellence for a multi-disciplinary investigation of corporate innovation and corporate decisions.<\/div>\n
\n\t <\/div>\n
\n\tThe successful applicant will work under the supervision of Professor Ping-Sheng Koh. The research team has published widely in accounting (e.g., The Accounting Review, Journal of Accounting and Economics, and Journal of Accounting Research<\/em>), finance (e.g., Journal of Finance, and Journal of Financial Economics<\/em>) and management (e.g., Administrative Science Quarterly, Management Science, and Strategic Management Journal<\/em>). The main responsibilities involve, among others:<\/div>\n
\n\t\uf0b7 Managing structured and unstructured data, database design and development, including additional data collection;<\/div>\n
\n\t\uf0b7 Empirical analysis of the data; and<\/div>\n
\n\t\uf0b7 Collaboration in the development of research papers, conference presentations, and the submission and revision of papers to top-tier, peer-reviewed journals.<\/div>\n
\n\t <\/div>\n
\n\tRequirements<\/strong><\/div>\n
\n\t\uf0b7 PhD or equivalent doctoral degree in computer science, economics, statistics, business or related fields (PhD students close to graduation can be considered but must complete the degree before commencement of the fellowship);<\/div>\n
\n\t\uf0b7 High proficiency in managing structured and unstructured data, especially in the financial domain;<\/div>\n
\n\t\uf0b7 High proficiency in programming and statistical software such as Python, R, STATA, or SAS;<\/div>\n
\n\t\uf0b7 Related prior research experience is a plus;<\/div>\n
\n\t\uf0b7 Evidence of creativity and innovation is highly valued;<\/div>\n
\n\t\uf0b7 Responsible and meticulous;<\/div>\n
\n\t\uf0b7 Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English;<\/div>\n
\n\t\uf0b7 Possess a growth mindset and tenacity to overcome challenges<\/div>\n
\n\t[Note that selected candidate must have legal employment status to work in Singapore. Non-Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents will be subjected to approval from government authorities to enter, live and work in Singapore.]<\/div>\n
