{"id":2699,"date":"2021-05-27T07:52:12","date_gmt":"2021-05-27T05:52:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/eaa-online.org\/arc\/blog\/jobs\/assistant-professor-tenure-track-management-control\/"},"modified":"2021-05-27T07:52:12","modified_gmt":"2021-05-27T05:52:12","slug":"assistant-professor-tenure-track-management-control","status":"publish","type":"job","link":"https:\/\/eaa-online.org\/arc\/jobs\/assistant-professor-tenure-track-management-control","title":{"rendered":"Assistant professor (tenure-track) in Management Control"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>University Assistant (tenure-track) in the area of Management Control<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>University of Innsbruck, Austria<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Start\/Duration: <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n\t\t1 October 2021<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tfor 6 years, a qualification agreement (tenure-track) can be offered<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Organizational Unit:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n\t\tDepartment of Organisation and Learning<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Level of Employment:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n\t\t40 hours\/week<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Main tasks: <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n\t\tIndependent research and collaboration on research projects of the management control team within the department;<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tActive cooperation in the research centre &ldquo;Accounting Theory and Research&rdquo;;<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tTeaching (in German and English) and mentoring of students;<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tSupervision of Bachelor, Diploma and Master theses;<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tContributions to the acquisition of third-party funding;<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tContributions to the administration of the department and the faculty;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Necessary Qualification:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n\t\tCompleted PhD\/doctoral degree in Business\/Management with a focus on management control;<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tPost-Doc experience or relevant work experience;<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tAcademic achievements beyond the dissertation\/PhD thesis;<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tExperience with conducting qualitative research;<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tCompatibility of research approach to the department in terms of content and method;<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tExperience in teaching management control;<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tAbility to teach in English and German;<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tInternational academic network and experience in academic mobility;<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tExperience in application processes for third-party funding;<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tExcellent communication skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The application must include a research statement (research plan) and a teaching statement.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tenure-Track model:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The vacant position offers the possibility for a continuous academic career up to the position of associate professor. A key component of this tenure-track model is the so-called &quot;Qualifizierungsvereinbarung&quot; (qualification agreement). This agreement shall be concluded as the case may be at the latest one year after being employed. Conclusion of the qualification agreement will entitle to an increased salary of &euro; 4.599,60 per month* and the fulfilment of the agreed qualification objectives will entitle to an increased salary of &euro; 4.987,20 per month*. All mentioned salaries are monthly gross salaries, paid 14 times p.a.
