The Université de Sherbrooke is seeking candidates for a regular full-time tenure track position in accounting at the Accounting Department in the Business School<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

About the Department<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Accounting Department is highly renowned in Québec for its work-study program which combines coursework with in-company placements. It offers Bachelor’s- and Master’s-level Accounting programs leading to the Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation, as well as in information technology governance and auditing. Its graduates are known for their employability and practicality. Professors in the department are actively engaged in research, in the areas of accounting standard-setting, governance and societal reporting. Research conditions at the University are excellent. Principal tasks 1. Teaching at the Bachelor’s and Master’s levels in the field of Accounting. 2. Contribution to the advancement of accounting knowledge through research; 3. Participation in research activities, supervision of Master’s and Ph.D. students; 4. Participation in university life and service to the community.<\/p>\n

Principal tasks<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. \n\t\tTeaching at the Bachelor’s and Master’s levels in the field of Accounting.<\/li>\n
  2. \n\t\tContribution to the advancement of accounting knowledge through research;<\/li>\n
  3. \n\t\tParticipation in research activities, supervision of Master’s and Ph.D. students;<\/li>\n
  4. \n\t\tParticipation in university life and service to the community.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    1. \n\t\tHold at the time of hiring a doctorate in Accounting Sciences or a related discipline ;<\/li>\n
    2. \n\t\tTeaching skills and experience;<\/li>\n
    3. \n\t\tAbility to conduct research and direct students at all degree levels;<\/li>\n
    4. \n\t\tAbility to teach in French or rapid acquisition of this ability (within two years).in interdisciplinary, multidisciplinary or transdisciplinary research and knowledge transfer.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Work conditions<\/strong><\/p>\n

      The working conditions are governed by the collective agreement in effect.<\/p>\n

      Regular, full-time tenure-track position.<\/p>\n

      Anticipated start date: August, 1, 2022.<\/p>\n
