\n\tManagerial Accounting<\/div>\n
\n\t(full-time position) is to be filled.<\/div>\n
\n\t <\/div>\n
\n\tThe candidate’s research focus should be on topics related to the role of (accounting) information in resolving intra-company incentive and coordination problems, and corporate governance problems. Since these topics encompass a wide range of multidisciplinary themes, we welcome candidates from related disciplines. Examples of research areas might include the design of sustainable\/non-financial performance measurement systems, resource allocation and budgeting, design of intra-company auctions, incentive scheme design for encouraging innovation, organizational design, or the impact of digitalization on coordination problems.<\/div>\n
\n\t <\/div>\n
\n\tSuccessful candidates should have strong analytical skills, proven by high quality publications. They are expected to publish in leading international journals in the field and also to teach courses, inter alia in the area of managerial accounting for the study programmes in (International) Business Administration and Business Analytics.<\/div>\n
\n\t <\/div>\n
\n\tSuccessful candidates should have the following qualifications:<\/div>\n
\n\t <\/div>\n
\n\t• Doctoral degree\/PhD and at least two years post-doctoral experience at a university or other research institution; as a general rule, applicants must have gained research experience outside the University of Vienna for a total of at least two years during or after their doctoral studies<\/div>\n
\n\t• Outstanding achievements and potential in research, excellent publication record, international reputation<\/div>\n
\n\t• Experience in designing and participating in research projects, ability to lead research groups, willingness to acquire third-party funding<\/div>\n
\n\t• Potential for successfully acquiring an ERC Starting Grant or an ERC Consolidator Grant (depending on career level) or comparable renowned funding within the qualification period.<\/div>\n
\n\t• Enthusiasm for excellent teaching, teaching experience at universities or a teaching concept. Candidates are expected to be willing to teach students at all levels (bachelor's, master's, or doctoral level), to supervise academic theses and to promote junior colleagues<\/div>\n
\n\t <\/div>\n
\n\tThe University of Vienna expects the successful candidate to acquire, within three years, proficiency in German sufficient for teaching in bachelor’s programmes and for participation in university committees.<\/div>\n
