Deakin is a large, comprehensive University on a steep upward trajectory. These roles will contribute to the development of their disciplines through innovation in teaching and learning, research impact and quality, staff mentoring, industry engagement, and institutional collaboration both nationally and internationally.<\/p>\n<p>Deakin Business School subscribes to the notion of \u2018leadership by example\u2019. Accordingly, in addition to being a proven and effective academic leader, the successful candidates will have a demonstrated capacity to positively shape, develop and influence the activities of colleagues and stakeholders and will be well-rounded scholars with a strong research track-record, having supervised doctoral students to completion, secured research income and bringing a demonstrated reputation as an innovative educator.<\/p>\n<p>The Department of Finance comprises over 40 faculty who consistently earn worldwide recognition for their research in the key areas of corporate finance, investments and asset pricing, banking and financial intermediation, international finance, financial derivative instruments and real estate and property.
