Qualifications and Requirements: <\/strong>Eligible candidates must have formally obtained either the Italian National Habilitation to Full Professor (ASN) in SECS-P\/07 Economia Aziendale or SECS-P\/09 Finanza Aziendale. Alternatively, the candidate should hold an equivalent position at an International University (e.g. Full Professor).<\/p>\n

Job starting date:<\/strong> From January 2024 onwards, with some flexibility<\/p>\n

Job duration:<\/strong> Permanent<\/p>\n

Salary and Workload: <\/strong>the annual gross salary is approx\u2014\u20ac 74.000. Net of social security net salary is approx. 3.450 (13 monthly instalments). The position is full-time and entails a teaching load of 120 hours per year (not negotiable).<\/p>\n

The Department of Economics and Management of the University of Padova invites applications for a<\/strong> full professor (with tenure) <\/strong>starting at the beginning of 2024. Applications by candidates of any nationality are welcome. Knowledge of English is a necessary requisite.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Profile<\/em><\/p>\n

The ideal candidates should have a PhD in Business, Accounting, Finance or Economics, or siblings\u2019 disciplines obtained in Italy or abroad and preferably with relevant experience in prior positions making her\/him eligible to apply for an ERC Consolidator or Advanced Grants (e.g., more than 6 years experience).<\/p>\n

Applicants should provide evidence of a continued and sustained ability to publish in high quality scientific journals in the following areas: financial accounting, management accounting, auditing, corporate or entrepreneurial finance, and corporate governance. Publications in journals ranked \u2018A\u2019 according to the Italian Agency for the Assessment of Research Quality (ANVUR) and those ranked above \u20183\u2019 according to the Chartered Association of Business Schools (ABS) are especially valued.<\/p>\n

It will be preferred a teaching focus in accounting and finance (e.g., Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Auditing, Corporate Governance, Valuation and Financial Statement Analysis) at the Bachelor, Master, or PhD levels either in Italian or English. \u00a0Teaching at recognized international institutions is particularly valued.<\/p>\n

The successful candidate must display an ability to work within national and international networks of scholars within their respective research clusters.<\/p>\n

The Department particularly values the ability in securing research funding through competitive bids both at the national or international level. Last, candidates should demonstrate a willingness in taking up service position at the Department level.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The Department is particularly interested in applicants who will contribute to the activities of the research group in accounting and finance, as well as to the enhancement of innovative teaching. Interested applicants need to meet the following conditions:\u00a0a) demonstrate a sustained track record in leading peer-reviewed international journals;\u00a0b) evidence of high-quality teaching;\u00a0c) ability to supervise PhD students and support early career researchers; d) proficiency in spoken and written English.<\/p>\n

Selection Process<\/strong><\/p>\n

Applications should be received by 15 September 2023<\/strong>. Applicants should submit a Curriculum Vitae and either indicate two referees or attaching two reference letters at hiring.economia@unipd.it<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Selection Committee will consider applicants meeting the following conditions:<\/p>\n

  1. a) evidence of high-quality teaching and mentoring through student or peer evaluations.<\/li>\n
  2. b) evidence of the ability in securing research funds at the Department or University levels.<\/li>\n
  3. c) evidence of a consolidated experience in working with international scholars and activism in widely recognized academic societies (e.g. EAA, AAA, AFAANZ, AFA, EFA etc..)<\/li>\n
  4. d) fluency in English is extremely valued although not a necessary pre-requisite.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
