Qualifications and Requirements: <\/strong>According to the Italian legislation, eligible candidates must have obtained a PhD at the application date.<\/p>\n

Job starting date:<\/strong> Ideally before the end of 2023 \/ beginning of 2024, with flexibility depending on individual circumstances.<\/p>\n

Job duration:<\/strong> the tenure-track entails a 6-year full-time contract. Tenure and promotion to Associate Professor is obtained upon the granting of the National Habilitation to Associate Professor (ANVUR).<\/p>\n

Salary and Workload: <\/strong>The annual gross salary – net of employer-paid social security contributions \u2013 is in the range of approx. \u20ac36.000 – \u20ac 43.000, depending on seniority – corresponding to a monthly net (13 instalments) of approx. \u20ac1.950 – \u20ac 2.400. Whilst this is not negotiable, faculty members can obtain bi-annual increases upon meeting targets as defined by the University of Padua. The salary is subject to employee-paid social security contributions and Italian income tax. Depending on individual circumstances (e.g., being non-Italian resident for the past two years), the successful candidate may qualify for generous tax exemption (here<\/a> for an unofficial but clear explanation of the mechanism at work).<\/p>\n

The Department of Economics and Management of the University of Padova<\/strong> invites applications for an Assistant Professor<\/strong> (tenure-track) in Accounting <\/strong>starting at the end of 2023\/beginning of 2024. Applications by candidates of any nationality are welcome. Knowledge of English is a necessary requisite.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Profile<\/strong><\/p>\n

The ideal candidates should have a PhD in Business, Economics, or siblings\u2019 disciplines obtained in Italy or abroad and preferably with relevant experience in prior positions making her\/him eligible to apply for an ERC Starting Grant (e.g., more than 3 years experience).<\/p>\n

Applicants should provide evidence of a potential ability to publish in high quality scientific journals in the areas of accounting. Publications in journals ranked above \u20183\u2019 according to the AJG of the Chartered Association of Business Schools (ABS) and those ranked \u2018A\u2019 according to the Italian Agency for the Assessment of Research Quality (ANVUR) are especially valued.<\/p>\n

It will be preferred a teaching focus in financial or managerial accounting at the Bachelor, Master, or PhD levels either in Italian or English. \u00a0Teaching at recognized international institutions is particularly valued. Most of the teaching with be delivered at the Department of Economics.<\/p>\n

The successful candidate must display an ability to work within national and international networks of scholars within their respective research clusters.<\/p>\n

The Department particularly values the ability in securing research funding through competitive bids at the national level. Last, candidates should demonstrate a willingness in taking up service position at the Department level.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The Department is particularly interested in applicants who will contribute to the activities of the research group in management, as well as to the enhancement of innovative teaching.<\/p>\n

  2. b) evidence of the ability in securing research funds at the Department or University levels.<\/li>\n
  3. c) evidence of a consolidated experience in working with international scholars and activism in widely recognized academic societies (e.g. AAA, EAA, APIRA, SIDREA, AIDEA etc..)<\/li>\n
  4. d) fluency in English is extremely valued.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
