{"id":4890,"date":"2023-11-28T14:05:55","date_gmt":"2023-11-28T13:05:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/eaa-online.org\/arc\/jobs\/"},"modified":"2023-11-28T14:05:55","modified_gmt":"2023-11-28T13:05:55","slug":"intern-part-time","status":"publish","type":"job","link":"https:\/\/eaa-online.org\/arc\/jobs\/intern-part-time","title":{"rendered":"Intern, part-time"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Period: from February 2024 to June 2024<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>European Academy of Management (EURAM)\u00a0<\/strong>is a professional community of engaged management scholars and reflective practitioners &#8211; open, inclusive, international and cross-cultural.<\/p>\n<p><strong>EURAM <\/strong>places a strong emphasis on multidisciplinary theoretical perspectives and methodological pluralism, and promotes critical examinations of the historical and philosophical roots of management theory and praxis.<\/p>\n<p><strong>EURAM<\/strong> aims to enhance the quality of research, improve its relevance for responsible and effective practice and contribute to the social and political discourse on management.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The intern\u2018s main responsibilities will be to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist in the organisation of a doctoral colloquium and a large academic conference to take place in Bath (UK) with 2000 attendees as well as support in organising membership meetings and workshops<\/li>\n<li>Produce statistics and reports on an on-going basis<\/li>\n<li>Work on ad hoc projects which might include identifying funding opportunities, developing a job market enhancing the website, developing the association\u2019s communication tools, building databases of the various stakeholders, etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Candidate\u2019s profile:<\/p>\n<p>Bachelor in in communication, event management, business administration<\/p>\n<p>Desirable experience:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Previous professional experience in a non-for profit organisation<\/li>\n<li>Experience in event organisation<strong>Skills<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in an international environment;<\/li>\n<li>Team player capable of working under pressure in a small and dynamic environment;<\/li>\n<li>Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc);<\/li>\n<li>Some experience with Content Management Systems (CMS) for websites and with Custom Relationship Management platforms (CRM) is a plus.<\/li>\n<li>Have good organisational skills and the ability to work within a small team and under pressure;<\/li>\n<li>Have the ability to multitask without losing track of details;<\/li>\n<li>Be enthusiastic and show willingness to learn;<\/li>\n<li>Have excellent oral and written English and ideally working knowledge of another European language;<\/li>\n<li>A valid working permit to work in Belgium.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>By the end of the project, the intern will have:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A good understanding of all aspects, including governance, operational and legal of the running of a complex non-profit organization and international conference;<\/li>\n<li>First-hand experience of managing long-term customer relations through a variety of media<\/li>\n<li>Independently produced research-based reports for operational use;<\/li>\n<li>Liaising with partners across Europe and the world from the academic, business and policy sector.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We offer a friendly and international working environment. You will have plenty of opportunities to learn and take initiatives. EURAM will cover public transportation costs.
