\n(13\/B4 \u2013 SECS-P\/11 Intermediari Finanziari e Finanza Aziendale)<\/p>\n

Job Description and Position<\/strong>
\nThe\u00a0Department of Economics and Management (dSEA)<\/strong>\u00a0is seeking Expressions of Interest for a\u00a0Research Assistant Professor (RTDa) non-tenure track in Banking and Finance (Scientific Sector SECS-P\/11)<\/strong>. Applications by candidates of any nationality are welcome. The Assistant Professor position is full time, with a maximum teaching load of 90 contact hours per academic year, that is negotiable. The annual gross salary – net of employer-paid social security contributions \u2013 is in the range of approx. \u20ac37.000 gross. Whilst this is not negotiable, faculty members can obtain bi-annual increases upon meeting targets as defined by the University of Padua. The salary is subject to employee-paid social security contributions and Italian income tax. Depending on individual circumstances (e.g., being non-Italian resident for the past two years), the successful candidate may qualify for generous tax exemption (here<\/a>\u00a0for an unofficial but clear explanation of the mechanism at work). Candidates with a record of excellent and internationally recognized research are encouraged to apply. The successful candidate is expected to teach at both undergraduate and graduate level and to undertake research projects on the long-term effects of socio-economic and health-care public policies on health and living conditions of older individuals.<\/p>\n

Qualifications and Requirements<\/strong>
\nAccording to the Italian legislation, eligible candidates must have formally obtained a\u00a0PhD in Business, Economics, Finance, or related areas.<\/strong>
\nApproximate starting date<\/em>: The successful candidate is expected to start in December 2024, but the starting date is negotiable based on individual circumstances.<\/p>\n

About the Department<\/strong>
\nThe Department of Economics and Management of the University of Padua was founded in 1989 and counts over 2000 students and more than 75 faculty members conducting research in economics or business fields. In 2023 the dSEA was granted\u00a0<\/a>the\u00a0EQUIS Accreditation<\/a>.\u00a0Since 2012, the University guide\u00a0‘Grande Guida<\/a>‘ ranks the Department among the top three institutions for teaching quality in the areas of Economics and Statistics.\u00a0 The Department ranked fourth in Italy in terms of research quality and productivity. Research carried out in accounting has been ranked third in Italy by the National independent agency (ANVUR<\/a>). Out of 850 assessed Universities, our Department is also at the top of the\u00a0U-Multirank<\/a>\u00a0international ranking.\u00a0\u00a0The working language of the Department of Economics and Management is Italian, whereas teaching is done mainly in English across the Masters, and PhD levels.\u00a0More information is available on the\u00a0website<\/a>.<\/p>\n
