We are looking for support at the Institute for Accounting and Auditing Fulltime, 40 hours\/week <\/b><\/b><\/p>\n
Starting July 01, 2026 or soon thereafter<\/b>, and ending after 6 years <\/b>A qualification agreement <\/b>will be concluded at the start of the employment (\u00a7 27 of the Collective Bargaining Agreement). Pursuant to WU\u2019s Personnel Development Plan, this position can only be fixed-term for up to six years. Once all objectives agreed upon in the qualification agreement have been fulfilled, the employment relationship can be made permanent.<\/p>\n
Employees who have successfully completed a qualification agreement are classified as associate professors. From an organizational regulation perspective they belong to the group of professors. Three years after successful completion of the qualification agreement, they are entitled to apply for promotion to full professor according to the By-Laws of WU \u00a7 43a.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Candidates are required to hold a PhD degree <\/b>or anticipate receiving a PhD degree in the current academic year.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Candidates need to provide an academic research paper (\u201cjob market paper\u201d), <\/b>preferably single-authored, that has been published or is publishable in a leading academic accounting journal.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Candidates are expected to demonstrate active involvement in the international academic community<\/b>, for example, through collaboration with coauthors, research visits at other universities, or presentations at leading academic conferences.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Candidates must have completed their PhD at a university other than WU or <\/b>have at least two years of postdoctoral working experience at another university<\/b>, and should demonstrate international academic experience\u2014such as a PhD from a non-Austrian university or postdoctoral work at a non-Austrian academic institution for at least two years.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Candidates are required to be able to teach in English <\/b>and are expected to commit to excellence in teaching.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Candidates are expected to be willing to use multimedia teaching methods. <\/b><\/b><\/p>\n
