It was not planned. It just happened. The idea of this workshop is to share our experience of teaching accounting on-line for more than 10 years and provide some guidance on how to adapt to this new scenario.&nbsp;The workshop will be divided in four modules as follows:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\n\t\tSETTING THE STAGE FOR ON-LINE TEACHING<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tPLANNING FOR AN ACCOUNTING COURSE IN AN UNCERTAIN ENVIRONMENT<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tACCOUNTING CLASSES ON-LINE (I): EXAMPLES OF SYNCHRONOUS ACTIVITIES<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tACCOUNTING CLASSES ON-LINE (II): EXAMPLES OF ASYNCHRONOUS ACTIVITIES<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Each module will last for 10 mins and will be followed by some time for Q&amp;A<\/p>\n<p>Speakers<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:35.4pt;\"><em>Nieves Carrera<\/em> is professor of Accounting at IE Business School (IE University). She has been teaching <em>Financial Accounting<\/em> and <em>Financing Reporting and Analysis<\/em> online for more than 10 years in graduate (e.g., Global MBA program) as well as executive (Executive MBA online) programs. Some of these programs have been very well ranked internationally (e.g., the IE Business School Global MBA program has been ranked 2<sup>nd<\/sup> in the FT Online MBA Ranking 2020.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:35.4pt;\"><em>Marco Trombetta<\/em> is professor of Accounting at IE University. He has been teaching accounting courses on-line since 2002. First at the undergraduate level at the IUP-Carlos III university, a pioneer initiative for on-line education, and then at the graduate level at IE Business School, recognized as one of the top schools for on-line education by the FT rankings.<\/p>\n<p>Organizer and moderator:<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:36.0pt;\"><em>Philip Joos<\/em> is professor of Accounting at Tilburg University. He was the EAA president between 2017 and 2019.
