What insight and support could you offer to those wishing to teach these subjects?<\/em><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.st-andrews.ac.uk\/management\/people\/sr65\">Shona Russell<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.st-andrews.ac.uk\/management\/people\/jf60\">John Ferguson<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.birmingham.ac.uk\/staff\/profiles\/business\/thomson-ian.aspx\">Ian Thomson<\/a> have launched an online survey aims understand academics\u2019 experiences of teaching sustainability and climate change in accounting and finance degree programmes around the world. If you have experience of teaching these topics or would like to teach these topics, please complete this 15-20mins survey by clicking here <a href=\"https:\/\/standrews.eu.qualtrics.com\/jfe\/form\/SV_5AXjhioKLf1A6hg\">https:\/\/standrews.eu.qualtrics.com\/jfe\/form\/SV_5AXjhioKLf1A6hg<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The survey is part of the <strong>Building Carbon Literacy <\/strong>project involving colleagues from the Centre for Social and Environmental Accounting Research is funded by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rse.org.uk\/awards\/cop26-international-climate-change-network-grant\/\">Royal Society of Edinburgh\u2019s COP 26 International Climate Network Grant<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Motivated by a concern that public and private accounting and finance have been identified as central to achieving <a href=\"https:\/\/eaa-online.org\/app\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2021\/08\/https__2nsbq1gn1rl23zol93eyrccj-wpengine.netdna-ssl.com_wp-content_uploads_2020_11_COP26-Private-Finance-Hub-Strategy_Nov-2020v4.1.pdf\">net-zero carbon ambitions<\/a>, the project aims to understand the education, knowledge, skills and capabilities of professionals tasked with understanding, evaluating and investing in climate solutions. Findings will be publicised in October 2021 before the <a href=\"https:\/\/ukcop26.org\/\">Conference of the Parties 26 <\/a>in order to<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;\u00a0 Enhance understanding of climate change and\/or sustainability in accounting and finance education and academics\u2019 experiences of teaching these topics<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;\u00a0 Work with stakeholders to develop transformative curricula to ensure that current and future professionals are equipped to achieve net-zero ambitions.<\/p>\n<p>Respondents will be entered into a draw to win one of five copes of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.routledge.com\/Sustainability-Accounting-and-Accountability\/Laine-Tregidga-Unerman\/p\/book\/9781032023106\">Sustainability Accountability and Accounting<\/a>\u00a0by Matias Laine, Helen Tregidga and Jeffrey Unerman.<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<p>Please contact Shona Russell (<a href=\"mailto:sr65@st-andrews.ac.uk\">sr65@st-andrews.ac.uk<\/a>) to learn more about this project.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Do you teach about carbon disclosures, or ESG?
