Our openly accessible online app<\/span> (<a href=\"https:\/\/trr266.de\/pfirmacclit\">Privat Firm Accounting Literature Database<\/a>) <span style=\"color: #000000;\">allows interested readers to explore\u00a0their own dip into the literature. The database allows to filter for:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Keywords \/ full-text search<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Topics (e.g. accounting quality, audit, banks, disclosure, IFRS, \u2026)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Country\/Regions<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Data source (e.g. Orbis, Amadeus, or country-specific database)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Sample period<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Publishing date<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The original database included 121 references. We now updated the database with more recent publications.\u00a0The current sample presented by this app covers 144 original research papers and seven overview papers that have been published between 1986 and 2023.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The database is an online extension of the paper<\/span>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tandfonline.com\/doi\/full\/10.1080\/00014788.2021.1982670\">Private firm accounting: the European reporting environment, data and research perspectives<\/a> <span style=\"color: #000000;\">(C. Beuselinck, F. Elfers, J. Gassen, and J.
