Architectural marvels Location of the UNESCO heritage sites
  • Thanks to its location at the crossroads of European trade routes, Czech architecture is a blend of diverse styles (well, we do not have Antique)
  • The country boasts countless examples:
    • starting from the medieval architecture represented by Romanesque & Gothic
    • through the golden age of Renaissance, Baroque, Rococo, Neoclassical
    • to modern architecture, including Art Nouveau, Art Deco, Modernism, Functionalism, but also Brutalism
  • Unlike most other countries, the Czech Republic is uniquely rich in Cubist architecture, including its endemic form, Rondocubism
  • 14 Czech architectural sites are inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List
  • 2,000+ castles, chateaux and ruins
