Practical Information

Currency

  • The Czech Republic is the EU member, but not in Eurozone. The official currency is Koruna (Czech Crown), the FX rate is approximately 25 CZK / EUR.
  • The money can be withdrawn from ATM (located eg in the bank foyers, shopping malls).
  • The payments by card are widely accepted, but some smaller vendors may accept only cash. Some shops also offer direct bank transfer payments by a QR code.

Time zone

  • Time zone: CET — Central European Time with the change to CEST — Central European Summer Time
  • During the congress, CEST (ie UTC/GMT +2 hours) will be relevant

Electricity

  • Voltage 230 V  & frequency is 50 Hz
  • Power plugs and sockets of type E (this socket also works with plug C and with plug F if it has an additional pinhole)
