The Prague Integrated Transport System (PID) includes the metro, trams and buses, as well as ferries and the Pet\u0159\u00edn funicular. The PID provides a 24\/7 service with night timetables.<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify\">\n<li>Visit the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dpp.cz\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Official PID Website<\/a><\/strong> to search for timetables, fares, and other useful information<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong><span style=\"color: #0099cc\">Using the PID network<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify\">\n<li>Buy a ticket: Tickets can be purchased from yellow ticket machines at stops, from vendor machines on trams and buses, or via the PID L\u00edta\u010dka App (download at <a href=\"https:\/\/play.google.com\/store\/apps\/details?id=cz.dpp.praguepublictransport&amp;hl=en_US\">Google Play<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/apps.apple.com\/cz\/app\/pid-l%C3%ADta%C4%8Dka\/id983071129\">App Store<\/a>)<\/li>\n<li>Activate your ticket: The ticket must be activated. At metro stations, validators are located before the stairs \/ escalators \/ lifts. On trams and buses, the validating machines are inside the vehicles. If you use the PID L\u00edta\u010dka app, activating a ticket takes 1\u20132 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Boarding: You can board the metro, buses and trams through any door.<\/li>\n<li>Onboard: Most bus stops operate using a &#8216;request stop&#8217; system, whereby you need to press the &#8216;STOP&#8217; button. These stops are indicated by a &#8216;bell&#8217; sign on the notification displays inside the vehicles.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong><span style=\"color: #0099cc\">Metro<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">There are three lines connecting Prague&#8217;s suburbs through the city centre:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify\">\n<li>Line A (Green): Depo Hostiva\u0159 \u2014 Nemocnice Motol<\/li>\n<li>Line B (Yellow): \u010cern\u00fd Most \u2014 Zli\u010d\u00edn<\/li>\n<li>Line C (Red): Let\u0148any \u2014 H\u00e1je<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">A journey from one end station to another takes between 30 and 45 minutes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Intervals: peak hours 2-4 minutes; outside peak hours 7-10 minutes<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Transfer nodes: station &#8220;M\u016fstek&#8221; (between the lines A &amp; B), station &#8220;Muzeum&#8221; (between A &amp; C) and station &#8220;Florenc&#8221; (between B &amp; C) stations.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><em><span style=\"color: #0099cc\">Using metro to get to the campus<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify\">\n<li>The metro station closest to the <a href=\"https:\/\/eaa-online.org\/congress-2026\/congress-venue\/\">V\u0160E campus<\/a> is &#8216;Hlavn\u00ed n\u00e1dra\u017e\u00ed&#8217; (Main Station), which is on the red Line C.<\/li>\n<li>From there, there is a corridor leading directly from Train Platform No. 7 to Winston Churchill Square.<\/li>\n<li>The walk from the metro platform through the train station to the university campus takes a maximum of 10 minutes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong><span style=\"color: #0099cc\">Trams<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Trams are a convenient way to travel around the city centre, and there are also major tram lines connecting opposite parts of the city.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">During peak hours, the major lines run every 5-7 minutes, the other lines every 7-10 minutes, and outside peak hours, around every 15 minutes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Daytime trams are indicated by numbers between 1 and 26, and night trams by numbers between 91 and 99.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><em><span style=\"color: #0099cc\">Using trams to get to the campus<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify\">\n<li>The tram stop closest to the <a href=\"https:\/\/eaa-online.org\/congress-2026\/congress-venue\/\">V\u0160E campus<\/a> is &#8216;Viktoria \u017di\u017ekov&#8217; (which is a name of local football club, with the stadium just next to the station).<\/li>\n<li>From the stop, you need to walk around 100 metres (downhill) to get to Winston Churchill Square<\/li>\n<li>Trams No 5, 9, 15 and 26 can be used to get to the &#8220;Viktoria \u017di\u017ekov&#8221; stop<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong><span style=\"color: #0099cc\">Buses<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Buses operate within the city centre (numbers 100\u2013299) and connect the suburbs of Prague (numbers 300\u2013399).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Night buses have numbers between 901 and 917.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Intervals: peak hours every 6\u20148 minutes, off-peak hours every 15\u201430 minutes<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><em><span style=\"color: #0099cc\">Using buses to get to the campus<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify\">\n<li>The bus stop closest to the <a href=\"https:\/\/eaa-online.org\/congress-2026\/congress-venue\/\">V\u0160E campus<\/a> is &#8216;N\u00e1m\u011bst\u00ed Winstona Churchilla&#8217; (Winston Churchill Square).<\/li>\n<li>The stop is located just in front of the campus<\/li>\n<li>Buses 101 or 135 can be used to get to the &#8220;N\u00e1m\u011bst\u00ed Winstona Churchilla&#8221; stop<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Depending on where you are staying during the congress, you will need to take one or a combination of different means of transport to get to the campus (visit the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dpp.cz\/en\/timetables\">PID website<\/a> to find the best route). In most cases, a single 90-minute ticket will be sufficient. This can be used on all PID network vehicles without any restriction on the number of transfers (the ticket only needs to be validated once before getting on the first vehicle).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #0099cc\">Taxis<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Although there are plenty of taxis in Prague, we recommend using the PID network, especially if you are staying in the city centre, as public transport is usually quicker due to traffic jams.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">If you prefer to take a taxi, you can use the services of <strong>Uber<\/strong>, <strong>Bolt<\/strong> or the local provider <strong>Liftago<\/strong>.
