DO I NEED AN ENTRY VISA FOR ITALY?<\/span><\/h2>\n

Italy is part of the Schengen Area. Citizens of EU member states, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland do not require a visa. Other travellers should verify their requirements through the official Visa for Italy portal.<\/span><\/p>\n

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE CAN I SUBMIT MY VISA APPLICATION?<\/span><\/h2>\n

Applications may generally be submitted up to six months before travel and normally no later than 15 calendar days before departure. Early application is strongly recommended.<\/span><\/p>\n

WHERE DO I APPLY FOR A VISA?<\/span><\/h2>\n

Applications should be submitted to the Italian Embassy, Consulate or authorised Visa Application Centre responsible for the applicant residence.<\/span><\/p>\n

WHAT DOCUMENTS DO I NEED TO APPLY FOR A VISA?<\/span><\/h2>\n

Requirements vary by nationality and visa category. Typical documents include passport, application form, photograph, proof of accommodation, proof of financial means, travel insurance and travel itinerary.<\/span><\/p>\n

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GET A VISA?<\/span><\/h2>\n

Short-stay Schengen visas are generally processed within 15 calendar days and may take up to 45 days in specific cases.<\/span><\/p>\n

Registered participants may request an invitation letter from the Congress Secretariat. Invitation letters support, but do not guarantee, visa issuance.<\/span><\/p>\n
