The main objectives of the PSAC will be: (a) to facilitate and promote public sector accounting research; (b) to participate – also through ad-hoc task forces – in public consultation processes that are relevant to public sector accounting and public sector accounting standard setting (e.g. IPSASB Exposure Drafts); (c) to network with other public sector accounting research groups and communities; (d) to plan and organize online activities for discussing timely topics and stimulating the debate between academics and practitioners.

The PSAC will be composed by a Chair and 3-4 Members. In line with the EAA governance guidelines , the Chair and the Members will be appointed for a 3-year term, renewable once.

With this call, the EAA is soliciting applications for the posts of PSAC Chair and Members.

The ideal candidates are scholars with a rich track record in public sector accounting research as evidenced by relevant publications in prestigious outlets, involvement in public sector academic groups and networks, knowledge of the public sector accounting standard setting process and willingness to promote the goals of the Committee. Proven leadership and network skills are particularly valued for the role of Chair. A suitable candidate is also expected to work collegially with other EAA committees. All members of the Committee should be current EAA members.

Please, submit your application via email to Baha Diyarov (baha.dyarov@eiasm.be) including (1) your updated CV (2) a motivation letter indicating whether you are applying for the position of Chair and/or Member of the PSAC and containing a brief explanation of why you consider yourself qualified for the position.

In keeping with the EAA’s Governance Guidelines, this call for applications is the first stage in the selection process. Following a review of the applications, the EAA Management Committee will first appoint the Chair and then – in collaboration with the latter – select and appoint the members of the committee.
