The Adam Smith Business School is seeking to appoint up to three outstanding candidates to post as Professors of Accounting. We are looking for candidates in all areas of Accounting, but are particularly interested in candidates who offer research or teaching expertise in areas such as:

· Mainstream financial accounting and reporting or audit (including policy and regulation)

· Company valuation and financial statements analysis

· Emerging technologies or data analytics in Accounting Information Systems, Management Control Systems or audit contexts. 

The successful candidate will be expected to provide our students with an outstanding learning experience as well as contribute to the teaching, research, scholarship and engagement with practice aims of the Adam Smith Business School in an efficient, flexible and dynamic way. We are actively looking to recruit experienced staff who will lead research and teaching and support colleagues in our well-resourced and active environment to assist us to achieve our long-term goal to become a top-50 FT business school within the next decade.

This post is open on the Research and Teaching & Learning, Teaching and Scholarship tracks. We are open to applications indicating part-time working hours. The criteria used for placement of successful candidates on Grade 10 scale are those set out in the Job Specification documents, noting that we are a proud signatory to the San Francisco Declaration on Research Assessment (DORA), which means that in hiring and promotion decisions we will evaluate applicants on the quality of their research, not journal metrics or the identity of the journal in which the research is published.
