2nd Conference on “Ownership, Control, and Economic Performance”
Paris, June 8 and 9, 2026
Submission Deadline: February 1, 2026

The “Family Business and Long-Term Investment” Chair at Université Paris-Dauphine invites rigorous, data-driven submissions for the Ownership, Control, and Economic Performance conference. This conference seeks empirical research grounded in economics and finance, aimed at enhancing our understanding of how ownership and control structures influence firm behavior, shape market outcomes, and affect broader economic performance.

We are particularly interested in quantitative research to explore:
1. Capital Allocation and Innovation
• The influence of ownership concentration and control mechanisms on investment decisions, with a focus on R&D and innovation
• How ownership and control affect technology adoption, productivity, and the efficiency of resource allocation

2. Financial Performance
• Combined effects of ownership and control on risk management, financial stability, and resilience
• Comparative analysis of ownership and control configurations across industries and their impacts on financial outcomes

3. International Expansion and regional impact
• The role of ownership and control in shaping trade strategies, market entry, and global expansion
• The impact of diverse ownership and control structures across regions.

4. Labor Market Outcomes
• How ownership and control influence wage structures, job stability, and workforce development
• The impact of ownership on labor productivity and resource allocation in response to control dynamics

Empirical work using micro-level data and addressing causal inference in these domains is strongly encouraged. Research that yields insights into the broader economic and financial implications of ownership and control is valued.
