The Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) invites applications from outstanding scholars in the broad fields of Accounting and Finance. Applications are invited at all levels (Professor/Associate Professor/Assistant Professor). While we welcome applications across these fields, we place particular emphasis on candidates whose research and teaching engage with Cost and Management Accounting, Fintech, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, especially in the context of finance, accounting, and allied disciplines. The application deadline is May 31; however, the start date for the position is flexible.
Job Description:
The faculty members will be expected to teach courses in the areas mentioned above in different short and long-duration programmes at IIMA. They will be expected to publish papers in quality accounting and finance journals rated highly as per FT50, ABS and ABDC journal rankings.
Eligibility:
The candidates must have a Ph.D. in Finance/Accounting and other related areas. They should have a strong pipeline of research papers in the relevant areas. For Associate Professor/Professor levels, the candidates should have demonstrated research and teaching excellence in these areas.
Assistant Professor: Candidates should have a Ph.D. or equivalent with a brilliant academic background. Experience, while desirable, is not essential. Those about to complete their doctoral degree may also apply.
Associate Professor: Candidates should have a Ph.D. or equivalent with a successful track record of research and publications and a minimum of 6 years of teaching/research experience, of which at least 6 years should be at the level of Assistant Professor at an institution of repute.
Professor: Candidates should have a Ph.D. or equivalent with a successful track record of research and publications and a minimum of 10 years of teaching/research experience, of which at least 6 years should be at the level of Associate Professor at an institution of repute.
Outstanding managers or professionals, working in industry and with established reputations, and who have made significant contributions to knowledge, but do not possess a Ph.D. degree, may also be considered for appointment.
