From Idea to Journal: Developing DEI Research in Accounting (EAA DEI Research Workshop Series – Part One)

The EAA Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee is delighted to announce ‘From Idea to Journal: Developing DEI Research in Accounting’, the first part of a new three-part developmental workshop series running from October 2026 through the 2027 EAA Congress.

The session begins with a panel of senior scholars and journal editors discussing what makes DEI research publishable, followed by small-group breakout sessions in which authors receive structured feedback on an extended abstract from a mentor and a small group of peers. The workshop particularly welcomes research that is still taking shape, while its framing and contribution can still be meaningfully developed.

The workshop is intended for:

• Authors seeking feedback on DEI-related work in progress;
• Junior faculty and doctoral students developing a DEI research agenda;
• Experienced scholars willing to participate as mentors or discussants; and
• Colleagues who wish to attend the panel and learn more about publishing DEI research.
