The first VARS with Stephan Hollander was an astonishing success, with about 400 registrations, from really all over the world. Indeed, we had to make a last-minute choice to move the VARS onto a Webinar platform to allow all attendees to participate. We are really glad that this initiative has attracted so much attention and we hope it will continue to do so in the next weeks.
The seminar with Stephan on “Firm-level Exposure to Epidemic Diseases: COVID-19, SARS, and H1N1” kicked off well. Stephan spoke uninterrupted for about 15 minutes. Then we had our first Q&A break, moderated superbly by Joachim. As the presentation went on, we had several questions, very interesting ones that kept the discussion alive and constructive. Having three breaks for Q&A works well for the audience and the presenter. The recording of Stephan’s seminar and his presentation are now available on the ARC repository. In the meantime, here there are a couple of pictures screenshots of the seminar:
…and the Virtual Reception!
We remind you that next week we will be hosting a seminar by Carlos Larrinaga, who will present his paper on “Early modern accounting and the emergence of the administrative state”. Registration to the seminar, individual meetings and virtual reception are now open, at www.eaa-vars.com
