Research Papers and Panel Proposals
You are invited to submit your research papers addressing international accounting research topics for the 2025 International Accounting Section Midyear Meeting in Miami, Florida on January 23 – 25, 2025. We also encourage you to volunteer to serve as a reviewer, discussant, and/or a moderator.
Practitioners and academics renowned worldwide will serve as our luncheon and plenary featured speakers. We also offer plenty of opportunities to network with colleagues, providing a warm and hospitable community to our members and guests.

We also welcome proposals for panel sessions. For panel proposals, please describe the rationale and importance of the topic in a page or so, indicate the planned panelists, and whether you need any help from the International Accounting Section to contact the panelists. Unless otherwise stated, it will be assumed that the person submitting the panel proposal would be willing to moderate the panel. The deadline for submissions for both research papers and panel proposals is Monday, September 16, 2024, 11:59 EDT.
Journal of International Accounting Research – Featured Papers Session
We are excited to announce that The Journal of International Accounting Research (JIAR) will have a plenary session in the 2024 IAS midyear meeting. Accepted papers will be presented at the plenary session and published in JIAR (conditional on satisfactory responses to reviewers’ and discussant’s comments). It also follows fast track review process. Authors who would like their papers to be considered for the plenary session should follow the regular JIAR submission process. In addition, authors submitting to the plenary session should clearly indicate in the cover letter to the editor whether you wish to have the paper considered for presentation at the concurrent session of the International Accounting Section midyear meeting it is not selected for the plenary session. NOTE: All submissions will be subject to a blind review process. Therefore, submitted documents should NOT include a title page or any author identifying information. Submitting authors will be asked to copy/paste an abstract of the paper (200-400 words) into a form field, separately from the submitted document. Authors will be listed in the printed program in the order they are entered during the online submission process. PDF is the preferred format for paper submissions.
